Look at the image on the right side - a very old rest house, the construction of the rest house is very interesting. Local people tell some interesting stories about the rest house. | The characteristic of Khajjiar are dense deodars, pines and lush green meadows so it is one of the great hill station. 'White peak' is the meaning of Dauladhar. An ideal destination for people to enjoy their trip of hill station is enhanced by the snow-capped tea gardens. The hills are looked at like waves on the surface of the sea. This mountain peak is located at an altitude of about 4800 m from sea level in Kangra valley. The mountain sides lived by the Gaddis. | Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary |
| In an area- 20.27 km² the wild park Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary is spread over. The park is located in the district of Chamba. The nearest town located in the area of the of the park is Dalhousie which is at a distance of 6 km. the wild park is situated at an altitude of 1185 to 2768 m. Kalatop is a beautiful dense forest where you can get spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Some of the easily spotted animals of the sanctuary are Bear, Leopard, Himalayan Black Marten, Barking Goral, Deer, Squirrel, Jackal, Serow and Langur along with rare species of other animals. | Khajji Naga shrine |
| Khajji Naga shrine is one the popular shrine in the area of Khajjiar. The temple is dedicated to the serpent god. So the name of temple is derived by the name of the shrine. With different patterns and images on the ceiling and wooden posts the temple is beautifully craved. The history of the temple dates back to the 10th century. To represent the Kauravas who were tied up here in the hideout by the Pandavas, the image carvings are seen on the temple walls. Moreover, Khajjiar has an islet with a small lake surrounding it. The lake is considered to be holy by the locals as legend associated it with Khajinag, the deity in the Khajji temple. |

| At an altitude of 1951 m above the sea level, Khajjiar Lake is at the center of the grassy glade of Khajjiar. Due to the dense growth of weed called vacha, the surrounding of the lake is spongy. The lake is the main water source of the sanctuary area of Kaltop in Chamba District, which is fed by slim streams. As there is a magnificent temple on its brink, the temple is considered as holy by the locals. A religious fair is held here annually Khajji Nag, a serpent god, is the main deity of this temple and the derived its name from this deity. |
