| Baba Atal Rai Tower |
| Baba Atal Rai Tower is located few kilometers away from the city of Amritsar. Tower is the place where the guru of Guru Har Gobind died at this spot is the belief. Baba Atal Rai Tower is nine storied building and one of the important landmarks of the city. A panoramic view of the entire area is cleared viewed from top of the ninth floor. | Durgiana Mandir |
| In the Northern India Durgiana Mandir is an important religious pilgrimage of the Hindus. At the time of Ashavmegh Yagh Lord Rama, Maryada Parshotam visited the temple. Along with their mother Mata Sita, Lov & Kush spent their childhood at Ram Tirath in the Ashram of Maharishi Balmiki. Grandson of Surya Devta, King Ishvaku performed a number of Yagyas in this place. The fourth Guru of Sikhs Sh. Amar Dass Ji established the city of Amritsar. In the year 1924, Durgiana Tirath was established. Durgiana Committee is managing the Durgiana mandir and around place. Lord Lakshmi Narain, Lord Rama, Sita Mata, Lakshman, Bharat, Shree Hanuman, Lord Shiva and Lord Radha Krishna are some of the small shrines present in the temple complex. Throughout the day the devotes flood to the temple. The holy place Durgiana Mandir is a few yards away from Railway Station & about 1.5 km. from the Bus Stand. |

| At a distance of 25 kilometers south of Amritsar Gurudwara Taran Taran is located. The Sarovar in the Gurudwara possess healing powers. The person who can pass the tank from one end to the other by swimming is blessed with enormous power. A yellow building next to the west entrance that provides free accommodation to the pilgrims is present in the premises of the Gurudwara. Maharaja Ranjit Singh got a temple erected in the town of Tarn Taran. fairs are held at the Temple on every amavas. |

| Jallianwala Bagh |
| The Amritsar Massacre or the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre was named after the Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) in city of Amritsar . A peaceful demonstration on occasion of Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919, under the command of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer British Indian Army soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children. The firing lasted about 10 minutes and 1650 rounds were fired, or 33 rounds per soldier. There were over 1000 deaths, with more than 2000 wounded, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Smith indicated that there were 1,526 casualties according to private sources. A plaque in the monument says that 120 bodies were plucked out of the well. And this garden is one of the main attraction in the city of Amritsar. |

| Wagah Border |
| The only border crossing between India and Pakistan is Wagah border. The border located about 30 km from Amritsar city. Armed soldiers, both Indian as well as Pakistani, fully decked in their uniform enacts a particularly hostile parade marked by lowering of their respective flags and closing the border gates during evening. The ceremonial lowering of the flags and the changing of the guards is carried out with Circumstance Marches. The ceremony is the really thing to be watched. |
