| Jama Majid |
| One of the most beautiful mosques in the country, Jami Masjid was built in 1661 by Aud-un-Nabi, Aurangzeb's governor is located at Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The structural design and architectural excellence of the holy shrine is incomparable. Juma Masjid in Mathura gives a spellbound look with its intricately decorated four minarets. It is amazing to see that the mosaic plastering of these lofty structures still hold its vibrancy and charm. Katra Masjid, the impressive red sandstone mosque built by Aurangzenb, is just 0.5 km west of the Jami Masjid. |

| Krishna Janma Bhoomi |
| Krishna Janma Bhoomi is the prime attraction of Mathura. According to Hindu belief, Lord Krishna was born here in a cell of a prison, which once stood there. Krishna was son of Vasudeva and Devaki. The current temple complex is at the site of the prison partly occupied by the mosque built by Aurangzeb. |

| Keshava Deo Temple was built on the spot where Krishna was believed to have been born. The temple was built by Rao Veer Singh Bundela, who was a prominent Hindu nobleman at the Mughal court of Jehangir (1605-27). In late 17th century, during the reign of Aurangzeb (1618-1707), a mosque, was constructed after destroying parts of the existing Krishna temple structure. |

In 1953, an organization named the Krishna Janmabhoomi Sansthan was formed, and with the monetary assistance received from different sources, construction of a temple was commenced. The temple was opened to public in 1984.
Starting with communal tensions starting with events in Ayodhya in 1990 and 1992, the temple complex has been put under high security. The high security has taken its toll on the temple's popularity with the local worshipers. |

| Radharamana Temple is the famous and one of the main tourist attraction in Mathura. "One who gives pleasure to Radha", is the meaning of Radharamana and is one of the many names of Lord Krishna. In 1542, after the Deity self-manifested from a saligram-sila the seva puja of Radharamana was established. A crown is kept next to Krishna signifying Radharani's presence. |

| One of major attraction in Mathura Rangbhoomi visited by tourists every year. Rangbhoomi in Mathura is situated opposite to the Mathura post office. According to the puranas, Rangbhoomi is the wrestling area where Lord Krishna defeated and killed his maternal uncle Kansa and frees his parents from the prison. |
