| Guptkashi |
| The ancient Vishwanath temple, Ardhnareshwar temple and Manikamik Kund where the two streams of Ganga and Yamuna meet, are the main places of attraction in Guptkashi.It is believed that after the battle of Mahabharata , the Pandavas wanted to meet Lord Shiva an seek his blessings. But the Lord evaded them from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. This was because even though the Pandavas had fought for the right cause they were also responsible for destroying their own dynasty. |

| Shankaracharya Samadhi |
| Sri Sankaracharya the famous Hindu philosopher is considered to be the renovator of the Kedarnath shrine and believed that he had attained the nirvana here at the tender age of 32. Shankaracharya Samadhi poses as an idyllic and tranquil location to the devotees. The magnificent temple in the backdrop adds its serenity. Now the samadhi of this saint has become one among the much visited holy places in Kedarnath. |

| Sonprayag |
| The confluence of Son Ganga and Mandakini rivers. The road to Triyuginarayan diverts from here. On the Kedarnath route, Son Prayag lies at the confluence of river Basuki and Mandakini at an elevation of 1829 mts. Immense religious significance is the holy site of Son Prayag. A touch of the holy water of Son Prayag helps one to attain the "Baikunth Dham". |

| Triyuginarayan |
| Triyugi Narayan is a scenic village in Rudraprayag district 12 km from Sonprayag and also reached by a short trek of 5 km from Sonprayag. An old Vishnu temple, situated on the ancient bridle path that links Ghuttur with Kedarnath major point of attraction. The temple of Kedarnath in architectural style is resembled by the temple. Attracts a lot of devotees. Other holy spots in the village are Rudra Kund, Vishnu Kund and Brahma Kund. The marriage place of Lord Shiva and Parvati. |

| Ukhimath |
| Down Guptkashi, a little away from the main route is Ukhimath, on Chamoli road. Ukhimath is the winter home of the deity of Kedarnath temple. The temple of Usha and Anirudh, Shiva and Parvati are worth a visit. |

| Kedarnath-Vasuki Tal Trek- Kedarnath is at an altitude of 3584 m. A magnificent temple was built by the Pandavas at the base of Kedarnath Peak's south-eastern face, and millions of pilgrims now come to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva here.
